An Amazing Night

On 3rd October we had an amazing night at Edgmond Village Hall in Shropshire. When I arrived the hall was laid out with tables for the expected guests and there was hardly room for me to set up. Nevertheless we managed and then we had a packed hall and a very lively night. The Deal or No Deal contestant won 20p but thats the way it goes !! The event raised around £1700 for the hall funds which was amazing.

Reliability

Last Saturday night at about 6.45 I received a phone call to see if I was available for a Race Night that night. Unfortunately I was assisting my partner Caricature artist Chris Ryder at her event in Derby and I was unable to help.

Apparently the guy phoning was let down at the last minute. In the last two weeks I have had two other calls from people who were 'let down' fortunately both were not at the last moment and one of those I was able to help. I do not operate this business as a hobby ! - this is my business and as such I cannot be anything else other than reliable, professional and offering the best possible Race Night to my clients.

When you book a Race Night with me you will receive written confirmation of the booking and your night will be guaranteed.

Funds raised this weekend

Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September I was involved with raising around £1400. On Friday at the Corpus Christi Social Centre in Wolverhampton an event organised by Andrea Cooke raised £800 for Ashmore Park Rangers Under 9's Football team.

Saturday at Burton Rugby Club a young lady called Debs who had climbed up Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support back in August organised a Race Night to assist with the fund raising. The night raised around £600. It is a while since I have been in a Rugby Club after a match and it hasn't changed. Luckily I wasn't drawn into the beer drinking matches !

Lingen Davies Cancer Relief Fund

Sometimes a Race Night involves a long day for me. There can be times when I set out at 3.00pm and do not arrive home until 2.00am in the morning. Without wanting to sound sickly I do get a good feeling when I can help people raise money for whatever the cause - football clubs, schools and charitable events that are aimed at raising money for a specific charity.

Sunday 13th September we ran a race night in a marquee at the village of Stanton, Shropshire. The night was to raise money for Lingen Davies Cancer Relief Fund and it was my priviledge to assist in that money raising. Despite the power being switched off momentarily causing some of my equipment to switch off (panic panic !! although it was soon resolved) the night was well enjoyed and several hundred pounds were raised.

Roll Out The Barrel

"You were f*****g brilliant." Quote from the organiser of a Race Night at the Barrel Inn, London Road, Sheffield. A lively night, 29th August and some fun with Deal or No Deal. Sorry Barrel Inn Football Team - both contestants for 'Deal or No Deal' won good prizes (£30 and £15) which meant less into the kitty for club funds - but that's the way it goes.

"We have made a lot more than we thought we would and this will help pay insurance fees".

I shall be returning back, by request, to the Barrel for another night in February 2010.

Goole Town Girls

Friday 21st August at the Viking Hotel in Goole, we helped Goole Town Girls raise around £350 for club funds. The organisers were a little disappointed with the turn out which is a good reminder to everyone planning a Race Night to make sure that you get the word around. We work hard to ensure that the evening is fun and if you are looking to run a Race Night and you have chosen us then you can certainly tell your guests that it will be a good fun night.

On Friday 7th August we had a fabulous night at the Royal Victoria Hotel, Newport, Shropshire with over 100 people attending the Race Night. The event was to raise funds to support 12 guys who are doing a charity fund raising cycle ride over the Pyrenees mountains. Somewhere in the region of £2000 was raised through the night and it seemed like a lot of people had a good time.

Race Nights are fabulous ways of raising funds for all kinds of groups. We have delivered Race Nights for Football Clubs, Crickets Clubs, Schools, Pre Schools, Community Village Halls, Pubs, University Students Unions, Corporate Functions and many more. We aim to make the Nights a fun and entertaining evening but with all of the fundraising events significant funds were raised.
