Reliability

Last Saturday night at about 6.45 I received a phone call to see if I was available for a Race Night that night. Unfortunately I was assisting my partner Caricature artist Chris Ryder at her event in Derby and I was unable to help.

Apparently the guy phoning was let down at the last minute. In the last two weeks I have had two other calls from people who were 'let down' fortunately both were not at the last moment and one of those I was able to help. I do not operate this business as a hobby ! - this is my business and as such I cannot be anything else other than reliable, professional and offering the best possible Race Night to my clients.

When you book a Race Night with me you will receive written confirmation of the booking and your night will be guaranteed.

Funds raised this weekend

Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September I was involved with raising around £1400. On Friday at the Corpus Christi Social Centre in Wolverhampton an event organised by Andrea Cooke raised £800 for Ashmore Park Rangers Under 9's Football team.

Saturday at Burton Rugby Club a young lady called Debs who had climbed up Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support back in August organised a Race Night to assist with the fund raising. The night raised around £600. It is a while since I have been in a Rugby Club after a match and it hasn't changed. Luckily I wasn't drawn into the beer drinking matches !

Lingen Davies Cancer Relief Fund

Sometimes a Race Night involves a long day for me. There can be times when I set out at 3.00pm and do not arrive home until 2.00am in the morning. Without wanting to sound sickly I do get a good feeling when I can help people raise money for whatever the cause - football clubs, schools and charitable events that are aimed at raising money for a specific charity.

Sunday 13th September we ran a race night in a marquee at the village of Stanton, Shropshire. The night was to raise money for Lingen Davies Cancer Relief Fund and it was my priviledge to assist in that money raising. Despite the power being switched off momentarily causing some of my equipment to switch off (panic panic !! although it was soon resolved) the night was well enjoyed and several hundred pounds were raised.
