Trekking in India for The Blue Cross
On Saturday 2nd of May I was at the Pedegree in Oswestry helping Jonny and Andy raise money in advance of their adventure of trekking in India later this year. They are raising money for Britain's Pet Charity 'The Blue Cross'. A very generous crowd helped the lads raise around £600 from the event. The dual forecast card saw one lucky guy win £150 - the card was sold at £5 a go and all the places on the card were sold on the night. Good luck to Jonny and Andy and I hope you have, not only, a successful mission, but one to remember too.
Abbots Bromley Cricket Club
On Friday night I returned to the Bagot Arms in Abbots Bromley for a Race Night for Abbots Bromley Cricket Club. I helped them last year and they asked me back to assist again this year. Despite a slightly quiet start the pub soon filled and I was seeing an increasing number of new faces coming up to place their bets as the night progressed. A very friendly group of people happily supported the club and the club raised £603 from the night. Well done to Ian in selling Horses and Jockeys and getting race sponsors in advance of the night. See you next year !
