Thursday 21st January was our first event of the year. Obviously a little quiet after Christmas and then some cancellations due to bad weather. The year started off in style with quite an amazing event at The Range, Essington, Nr Walsall. A lovely place I might add. The evening was a lot of fun with some very generous guests. Deal or No Deal was a laugh made even more amusing when there was a computer glitch just at the end (I think it was operator error !! - although I will check the software out this weekend).
A triple forecast card was completed on the night and one guest walked away with a £100 prize. Overall the event raised somewhere in the region of £1600 for Walsall Hospice which was fabulous. Don't forget if you are thinking of organising a fund raising event give yourself plenty of time so that you can raise as much money as possible.
