Newport Town FC

Newport Town, Shropshire reformed their football team this season and called upon me to assist them with some Fund Raising. Saturday 13th March was the night and a lively night it was. I think the tote generated one of the largest amounts I have encountered. I was rather bemused when, during the aution of the runners on the last race, some guests were bidding against themslves !! but then it was all about raising money for the team. In Deal or No Deal Rosie turned down a bankers offer of £8 only to win 20p - but that meant more money for the club funds.
